How to Factory Reset Any Anduril Flashlight (Step-by-Step)

A complete guide to factory resetting Anduril V1 and V2 flashlights. Restore default settings, fix glitchy behavior, and start fresh in seconds.

Why Factory Reset Your Flashlight?

Over time, tinkering with ramp ceilings, thermal limits, channel modes, and aux LED preferences can leave your Anduril flashlight in an unpredictable state. A factory reset wipes every custom setting and restores the light to its out-of-the-box defaults — the fastest way to fix unexpected behavior.

The Universal Reset Sequence

On both Anduril V1 and V2, the factory reset command is the same:

  1. Make sure the light is OFF (not in lockout, not in a strobe mode — fully off).
  2. Press and hold the button for approximately 13 seconds (shorthand: 13H from OFF).
  3. The light will flash or blink to confirm the reset has been applied.
  4. Release the button. Your flashlight is now running factory defaults.

That's it. No special tools, no firmware reflash — just one long hold.

What Gets Reset?

Everything. This includes:

  • Ramp floor and ceiling — restored to the firmware's default range.
  • Thermal calibration and limit — reset to the default temperature ceiling.
  • Aux LED color and mode — returned to the default pattern (usually voltage-based).
  • Simple UI / Advanced UI toggle — reset to whichever mode is the firmware default.
  • Strobe and blinky preferences — any saved bike flasher or lightning storm settings are cleared.
  • Channel mode (Anduril V2 multi-channel lights) — returns to the default channel.

When Should You Reset?

  • After a firmware update that changed how settings are stored.
  • When your light behaves unpredictably (flickering, wrong ramp shape, overheating early).
  • Before selling or gifting the light to someone else.
  • When you just want a clean slate after heavy customization.

Pro Tip

After resetting, the first thing you should do is recalibrate the thermal sensor. Use AT + 0C from OFF (Anduril V2) to set the room-temperature baseline. This ensures the light throttles correctly and doesn't overheat or throttle too early.

Factory resetting is completely safe and can be done as many times as you like. It only affects software settings — your LED hardware, driver, and firmware version remain untouched.
