Understanding Aux LED Colors in Anduril 2
A complete guide to auxiliary LED colors and modes in Anduril 2 flashlights. Learn how to cycle colors, set voltage-based indicators, and which lights support RGB aux.
What Are Aux LEDs?
Auxiliary LEDs (aux LEDs) are small indicator lights on the body of a flashlight — usually around the button or on the head. They serve two purposes:
- Finding your light in the dark — a dim glow helps you locate the flashlight on a nightstand or shelf.
- Battery voltage indication — color-coded glow tells you the charge level at a glance.
Which Flashlights Have RGB Aux LEDs?
Not all Anduril flashlights have aux LEDs, and not all aux LEDs are RGB (multi-color). Here's a quick breakdown:
| Light | Aux Type |
|---|---|
| Emisar D4V2 | RGB aux (head) + single-color button LED |
| Noctigon KR4 | RGB aux (head) |
| Emisar D4K | RGB aux (head) |
| Wurkkos TS10 | RGB aux (head) |
| Lumintop FW3A | NO aux LEDs |
| Convoy S2+ | NO aux LEDs |
| Wurkkos TS21 | Single-color side switch only |
If your light only has a single-color aux or no aux at all, the color-cycling commands will have no visible effect.
How to Change Aux LED Colors
From OFF (Anduril V2)
- 7C (7 clicks) — Cycle through aux LED modes: Off → Low → High → Blink → Breathe → Voltage → Voltage + Blink
- Each mode cycles through colors: Red → Yellow (RG) → Green → Cyan (GB) → Blue → Purple (RB) → White (RGB)
From Lockout (4C from OFF)
- 7C — Same color cycling, but for the lockout aux configuration. You can set different aux behavior for OFF vs. Lockout.
Voltage-Based Color Mode
One of the most useful aux modes is voltage indication:
- 🔴 Red = Low battery (≤ 3.0V)
- 🟡 Yellow = Medium-low (~3.3V)
- 🟢 Green = Medium (~3.6V)
- 🔵 Blue = Full charge (~4.0V+)
This gives you an instant visual battery check without turning the light on.
Aux LED Brightness
Aux LEDs have two brightness levels that cycle with 7C:
- Low — very dim, ideal for bedroom use
- High — brighter, easier to find in well-lit areas
Common Mistakes
- "My aux colors won't change!" — Your light might not have RGB aux LEDs. Check the table above.
- "I changed aux in OFF but Lockout still has the old color" — OFF and Lockout have separate aux configs. Change both independently.
- "The aux LEDs turn off when I turn the light on" — This is normal. Aux LEDs only show when the main emitter is off.
