Mastering Lockout Modes: Auto-Lock and Manual Lockout in Anduril 1 & 2
Learn how to use auto-lock and manual lockout in Anduril 1 & 2 for safe and convenient flashlight operation
Entering and Exiting Lockout Mode
Anduril (V1 & V2 — identical):
- From Off or Ramp, click 4C to enter Lockout mode — the light is now safe to carry without accidental activation.
- In Lockout, you can fire a quick momentary moon without fully unlocking: 1H uses the lowest floor level, 2H uses the highest floor level (or the manual memorized level if set).
- To exit, click 4C — the light blinks briefly then turns on at the memorized level. Hold the final press (4H) to come on at the floor level instead.
- Additional exit shortcuts:
- 3C — unlock and go to Off
- 4C — go to Ramp at memorized level
- 4H — go to Ramp at floor level
- 5C — go to Ramp at ceiling level

Configuring Auto-Lock Timeout
Auto-lock is an Anduril-only feature. When enabled, the light automatically enters Lockout mode after a set number of idle minutes.
Anduril (V1 & V2 — identical):
| Step | Action | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Enter Lockout mode | From Off, click 4C |
| 2 | Open Auto-Lock Config | In Lockout, press 10H and release after the first blink |
| 3 | Set timeout | Click N times for N minutes; don't click to disable (0 = off) |

Aux LED Patterns in Lockout Mode
Pro Tip: Aux LED pattern and color are independent controls in Lockout:
- 7C — steps through Off → Low → High → Blinking
- 7H — steps through the color wheel: Red → Yellow → Green → Cyan → Blue → Purple → White
Try setting a distinctive color in Lockout (e.g. red) so you can instantly tell the light is locked just by glancing at it.
Anduril (V1 & V2 — identical):
- Enter Lockout with 4C from Off.
- Press 7C to cycle the aux LED pattern: Off / Low / High / Blinking.
- Press 7H to cycle the aux LED color (on lights with RGB aux LEDs).
Biscotti (12-Group): Aux LED configuration does not exist in Biscotti firmware.
